Goodbye Sweet Child

I weep and hold you in my arms
My child, so pure and new
It's so hard to give you up
But it's something I must do
As I look into your baby eyes
And hold your little hand
I pray the Lord will help you
That one day you'll understand.
It isn't fair to keep you,
Though it's hard to let you go.
The family that will now be yours
Will give you so much joy.
Wrap your love around them
and your father up above,
And have a life that's filled
With joy, and happiness, and love.
