The Homecoming

God has taken a loved one
to a beautiful, heavenly place.
He freed them from earthly suffering,
and took them into His embrace.
A heavenly home has been prepared,
and family and friends who are there,
have gathered for a homecoming.
What joy and love fills the air.
Although we are mourning our loss,
we'll find strength amid our great sorrow.
Knowing in time we'll embrace,
back home, in a future tomorrow.
