The Difference
by James Nack
Man strides along through thick and thin,
Through miry shame and thorny sin;
With careless hand the thorn or spot
He brushes off, and all 's forgot;
But woman, soft and delicate,
At every step must hesitate --
The fallen man again can soar,
But woman falls, to rise no more.
