Easter
By John Banister Tabb
Like a meteor, large and bright,
Fell a golden seed of light
On the field of Christmas night
When the Babe was born;
Then 't was sepulchred in gloom
Till above His holy tomb
Flashed its everlasting bloom --
Flower of Easter morn.
